

Dr. Kate Steiner and Dr. Thea Zunick – YRR Curators, Educators, and Fun Makers!
Dr. Kate Steiner, is a Burnout Recovery Coach, and founder of LIFT Wellness Consulting. She supports her clients from burnout to recovery by developing a self-reflective plan that identifies and prepares for burn events by addressing all areas of wellness. Holding A Master of Counseling and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision, her practice is grounded in the research-based Steiner Self-Reflective Sustainability and Wellness (SSRSW) model, published in the Oracle Research Journal. She has been a researcher in wellness and burnout for over 15 years. Dr. Kate is the author of the “Burnout: A Guide for Every Professional to Identify, Prepare, and Recover their Joy.” Her mission is to end the burnout cycle for professionals so they are living happier, healthier lives.
Dr. Kate’s work has been published in consumer outlets including, Authority Magazine, Thrive Global, WTTA (NBC) Bloom TV, and myfitnesspal, as well as higher education industry publications, Essentials, and Perspectives Magazine.
Thea Zunick, Ed.D., is a national coaching, speaking, and consulting professional bringing engaging learning material to students everywhere. She is the Manager of Community for the JED Foundation which is a is a nonprofit that protects emotional health and prevents suicide for our nation’s teens and young adults. Dr. T has over 12 years of direct campus and volunteer advising experience focusing on the success and development of fraternal organizations, student governments, student organizations, residence life, orientation leaders, social justice initiatives, wellness programming, and supporting both emerging and high performing leaders. She is an active volunteer for 4 fraternal organizations and has held leadership roles in AFA, NGLA, NASPA, and SHRM. Dr. T loves her time crushing weights at a local Crossfit gym, playing fetch with her pup Tootsie, trying out new recipes and restaurants, and practicing her dance moves anywhere music is playing!
Dr. T earned an Associates Degree from Middlesex County College, a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Elementary Education from The College of New Jersey, a Masters degree in Student Personnel in Higher Education from University of Florida, and a Doctorate of Education for the Design of Learning Environments from Rutgers University.
